“The difference between a medicine and a poison is dosage. Saying no to the overdose of progressive policies doesn’t make you less liberal.”

About Austin
Austin Daniel is a native Oregonian and 19-year resident of Portland. And, while he is a gay person of color, he identifies simply as a Portlander. He is a home and business owner in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood and cares deeply for the well-being of his friends and neighbors.
Austin has voted democratically his entire adult life but, since 2020, his political views became more moderate and libertarian in nature. He will always be a true liberal at heart but no longer supports the far-left extremism permeating the Democrat Party, state and local politics. As a Non-Affiliated candidate, Dr. Austin feels like he can better represent the best interests of his liberal friends and neighbors in the Mount Tabor area.
The extreme policies of the far left have made our communities unsafe. The decriminalization of hard drugs, defunding of law enforcement, release of violent criminals from prison and DEI in the workplace and schools have divided and weakened us while strengthening the wealth and power of government and big corporations. I’m running for State Representative to put an end to this nonsense and restore Portland to the healthy and vibrant city we all know and love.
